Windswept Wanderers: A Writing Retreat

Windswept Wanderers: A Writing Retreat

Look at this gorgeous place! That's Glen Eyrie Castle in Colorado Springs, and it's one of my favorite spots. About once a quarter, I visit the grounds. Last weekend, I did even better: I spent two nights there for a writing retreat with my friend, the awesome body-positive YA author Kelsie Stelting! We wrote, we ate, we rambled the grounds...but most of all, we had an amazing time!

We had high tea at the castle, which was lovely! The menu changes seasonally. Last October, I treated myself to the autumn tea, which was great, but I think the winter menu was even better. My favorite was the canapé, which featured honey-roasted grapes and prosciutto with fennel and mascarpone cheese. I adore fennel, yum. We also alternated between writing outdoors and in the bookstore/coffee shop on the castle grounds.

We were both hard at work on our upcoming releases. My newest book, Love on Film (which is the sequel to Love on Paper), releases April 14th! It's a heavier story than what came in the prequel novelette Love on Hold or in the full Love on Paper novel, but I love how it unfolds so much. I can't wait to share it with you!
