Happy 2023, friends! Hope your holidays were great and you're enjoying the clean buzz of energy that comes with every brand new year. I love the way life feels fresh as soon as the calendar flips over. Everything seems more possible and I feel more purposeful.
Given my excitement for all that the new year represents, it's probably no surprise that I love the process of setting and working toward goals. This year I feel especially motivated to make them happen. To keep myself honest and hold myself accountable, I'm sharing my goals for my author career here with you today.
- My top priority is publishing 3-4 books in my Matchmaker Baker rom-com series. The first one is so close to done, and I just need to find the focus to cross the finish line. This series is a ton of fun. It's full of humor and sass, and - if I can figure it all out - hopefully a few recipes, too!
- Did you know that I used to own a stationery boutique? Before I became a mama to my twin kiddos, The Sweet Unfolding was my baby. I made custom wedding invitations, notecards, and other paper confections. I closed up shop when my babies were born, but I've been thinking about relaunching, this time with a focus on art prints, day planners, and notecards with a literary bent.
- If I can find the time, I really want to write another women's fiction novel. I have been nurturing an idea for so many years. Maybe 2023 will finally be its year!
Are you a goal-setter? A resolution-maker? What's on your list for this year? I'm a strong believer in community and mutual support, so feel free to send me a note and let me know what you're hoping to achieve this year. I'll hang it on the wall in my office and send you good vibes all year long!
