Book Love: Meet Author Carrie Lowrance

Book Love: Meet Author Carrie Lowrance

I love receiving emails from subscribers! It always makes me happy to hear from you all and learn more about you. Carrie Lowrance emailed me after I posted about my little cat, Coco, and her new diagnosis with kidney disease. She shared about her own cat, Carlton (picture of that sweet boy below), and over the course of our conversations I learned that Carrie is also an author who recently released her first romance! Since I'm all about celebrating people's accomplishments and Carrie's book looks so good, I knew I had to share it with you, along with some thoughts from Carrie herself.

Welcome, Carrie! Tell us a little about yourself, please.

My name is Carrie Lowrance and I'm a clean romance author. I have also dabbled in poetry and children's books. I published my first book of poetry in 2015 and I have never looked back. I have published three books of poetry, two children's books, and one nonfiction book.

I have also published one romance novella, Before Us, which is the prequel to my Steele Family Saga series. You can get this free, sweet romance when you join my newsletter at carrielowrance.com. Someone To Catch My Teardrops is the first book in the Steele Family Saga series and is available now.

Congratulations on Someone To Catch My Teardrops. What inspired you to write this novel?

The inspiration for Someone To Catch My Teardrops came from someone I knew long ago who was a singer. I always thought this person deserved a recording contract but it wasn't the cards for him. I always thought he deserved to make it big because he worked so hard and from there my story evolved and came to be.

I love that. In a way, this book gives that person a bit of the success they deserved. What would you say is your favorite scene in the book?

I can't go into specifics, but one of my characters shows extreme mercy and grace to another, which changes this person's life forever.

That's a powerful idea. What themes do you enjoy exploring in your writing?

I like exploring the messiness of people's lives and mistakes, the things that happen to them, and their reactions to those people and things.

Our messy lives is one of my favorite themes as well. That kind of honesty brings books to life, in my opinion. What's up next for you as an author?

Next up for me is releasing my next children's book, My Miles And Me. I'm also working on polishing the second book in the Steele Family Saga series, Belonging Season, which will be released later this year.

Belonging Season, what a great name. I hope preparations for your new projects go really well. Thanks so much for taking the time to share with us today!

Don't forget that you can check out Someone To Catch My Teardrops today - it's free for subscribers to Kindle Unlimited!
