Marin's romance writing career is complicated by her impressive literary pedigree. Her dad's famous memoir, Salt in the Sea, has sold over 20 million copies! Of course, it's sadly not a real book, but it figures so largely in the Love Unscripted series that I made this tribute to the first edition. For this design, I referenced all the symbolism from my English Lit grad school days, haha. The boat represents two traumatic events on the North Sea: the shipwreck that killed John Robert Beckett's parents and brother when he was a child, and the sailboat he and a six-year-old Marin were stranded on during his own mental breakdown. The three seagulls symbolize Marin and her parents, while the hawk attacking at the top is a metaphor for the mental illness that stalks her dad and eventually her, too.

More notebook stats:

5.75" x 8", 200 lined pages, soft-touch matte cover with rounded corners to prevent bending. Perforated pages allow for easy tear-out.

A Note About Shipping Times:

This product is made especially for you by one of our print partners after you place an order, so it may take a bit longer to deliver it to you. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce waste and save resources like water and energy. It also makes it easier for small boutiques like mine to thrive. Thank you for making thoughtful purchasing decisions!
